So sorry, NYC area fight fans. You will have to travel to LA to see Gennady Golovkin in person in his next fight.
3G sold out MSG in October but his people spread the love, booking on the East Coast, then showing the West Coast some love.
Why no MSG this time, April 23, promoter Tom Loeffler?
“Have to keep the LA fans happy! Can't only fight in NY or one city as GGG is in demand in many different cities and countries,” Loeffler told me.
NY folk can get closer in spirit to the Bieber faced banger on Thursday, Feb 18; he's hitting NYC for a press conference.
Note: this is example of a reason why GGG has come so far, so fast. There's no need to undertake the time and expense to do an NYC presser for a fight of this sort. But the Golovkin team covers bases. Smart.
