Mizzone Lowdown on Magomedov/CBS Main Event

It could be a decent main event being offered on CBS Sports Network Saturday night, with Arif Magomedov fighting Andrew Hernandez for the WBC-USNBC middleweight title.

No reason to believe me; trust Main Events' matchmaker, Jolene Mizzone. The Jersey girl clued me in to the lowdown on this tangle, which headlines a card portions of which kick off at 11 pm ET.

“This is a tough fight for Arif because Hernandez is a bigger guy, plus he wanted the fight, unlike others looking for just a big payday. Arif is now training with “Sugar” Hill so he has been in Detroit with him for over three months. Arif is still young and is still learning in each fight.”

The Russian is 23 with a 17-0 mark. Hernandez is 11-4-1, a 30 year old Phoenix resident.

“Arif is in the top 10 of all sanctioning bodies. I believe Hernandez is a true test for him, a bigger guy with a long reach and can box a little, Hernandez will also mix it up.”

Thanks Jolene; I will DVR the show for certain.
