Gleason’s Trainer Makes NY POST

Lennox Blackmoore fought as a pro in the 70s and 80s, at a very high level. And now, he’s headed toward his 70s, and helping older folks stay young.

The 68 year old ex pugilist was featured in the April 2 NY POST, in a story on fitness pros who are proving that age is indeed just a number.

The Guyana born gent stepped up and fought all-time ace Aaron Pryor in 1981…

..and didn't get the W. But he soldiered on and today, people coming to Gleason's are the better for it.

Gym owner Bruce Silverglade shared his thoughts on the esteemed Mr. Blackmoore:

“Lenox Blackmoore is a pillar at Gleason's Gym,” said Silverglade.  “He is from the old school and is an expert at the basics of boxing. He helps Gleason's Gym develop champions.”

Founder/editor Michael Woods got addicted to boxing in 1990, when Buster Douglas shocked the world with his demolition of the then-impregnable Mike Tyson.
