Get Out Of That Rut! Get To Gleason’s!

Hey, graybeard.

Hey, graybeard.

Yeah, you…

Oh, you only have a few grays dotting your beard. My apologies.

I will refer to you as “Mr Salt and Pepper Beard,” then.

So…it’s the new year. But it’s the same old you. You are, c'mon, admit it, sorta stale. In a rut.

What’s your fitness regimen look like? Same as it has looked for the last 10 years?

Some stair master? Some bike? Hal-ass-y?

Want to change that? Get to boxing! Get to Gleason’s, in Brooklyn!

Call now, ask for Bruce. He will point you in the right direction.

You are 40 and over, stuck in that rut, want to push yourself, because lord knows you still got some zest within you. Boxing will bring it out in you!

And after Bruce the Gleason’s owner tells you to get started, you can maybe sink your feet into this. You can enter into a Masters Boxing tourney, like this one:

“Masters boxers are people forty years of age and above,” Silverglade informed me. “These are businessmen, regular guys, etc who are starting to get involved in boxing. They fall in love with the sport and they want to know a little bit more. So I have a clinic, for three days and what we do, we bring in people like Iran Barkley and Mark Breland and some of the women champions, and we give a clinic. We teach different things that the different champions have and then we conclude the weekend with a sanctioned amateur show.” Then, he said, you could sign up for the big event in London. Damn, wouldn't that lift you out of the rut!
