BIG HITTING PABLO VALDEZ MAINTAINS 100% KO RATIO ON DIBELLA BROADWAY BOXING CARD
Pablo Valdez continued his undefeated streak as he moved to 4-0 with 4 consecutive stoppages on the latest New York edition of DiBella Entertainments Broadway Boxing at St Francis College, Brooklyn.
Valdez started fast in the welterweight contest against a fighter in Jimmy Rosario who had previously posed problems for some talented prospects, however, Valdez showed that his strength was perhaps better than those who had fought Rosario previously.
Valdez gave his assessment of his performance.
The New Yorker said, “I felt this was the best I’ve been so far as a professional. I was very composed in the ring and didn’t load up too often. I felt very fit too and I have to thank Dave ‘Scooter’ Honig for that as he gets myself and the rest of the Havoc fighters such as Edgar Berlenga into tremendous shape on a consistent basis.
“Rosario was a game fighter who people thought would give me problems but I felt that I was far too strong for him and it showed. I knew I could back him up from the outset and when the time come I closed the show. I was very happy with how things went and now I want to push on to bigger and better things.”
Big punching Valdez is a product of Andre Rozier and Gary Stark Sr and has been a part of the Havoc Camp for decades. Valdez, who remains close to his Dominican roots, opened up about what Team Havoc meant to him.
Valdez said, “Team Havoc is a family. Andre and Gary have been with me since the very start. They are not just great trainers but they are great people. They treat us all like we are family and that is why we are all so close.
“Working alongside the tremendous fighters that Team Havoc have has made me such a better fighter. Fighters like Sergiy Derevyanchenko, Richard Commey, Chris Algieri and many more bring out the best in you and I believe that is what is making me improve at such a rapid rate.
“Having this great setup around me just makes me want to be successful for myself and for them too. I want to push on to titles eventually. I know I have to move quickly but I’d like to win a title before my career is over and that is what we are working towards now. I believe I’ll be back in the ring in the next couple of months to try and get this process moving as quickly as possible.”
