New York based boxer Mikkel Lespierre has been edging up the 140 ladder, studiously trying to master the trade and has gotten to the point where, at 20-0-1, he’s gained some buzz.
One Bakhtiyar Eyubov would like to burst the Lespierre bubble and tells NYFIGHTS he’d like to rumble with the 33 year old hitter who last gloved up June 21.
“I will show my superiority in skills , strength and tenacity against Lespierre,” says the 14-0 Eyubov, who hails from Kazakhstan. “I am the best and most exciting fighter in the division and I can’t wait to prove my point on national television once again. Lespierre may not be used to having real fighters call him out so I hope he doesn’t get a case of chicken feet like Yves Ulysses!”
Dmitriy Salita promotes Eyubov, who has been on ShoBox a couple times. The 31 year old boxer, who works out of Texas, downed 21-1-1 Nicholas Givan June 22.
So, yeah, both men are date hunting.
Salita thinks this one would look good in a NY ring, and tells us more about why his kid versus the Lou Dibella promoted Lespierre makes sense.
“This would be a great fight in the junior welterweight division, especially in NYC, where both guys reside,” Salita says. “Bakha is a special fighter and is one of the best and most exciting talents in the division….when he shows up to fight it’s thunder and lighting inside the ring from beginning to end!”
