There are a few different ways we can gauge the boxing payout Romero will make this weekend; one of which being that worrisome superstar Ryan Garcia said that rather than making $5 million for fighting him, Romero instead elected to fight Cruz, “for what, $950K maybe?”

Then again, we probably shouldn't be listening to anything Garcia is saying at the moment. 

We do know that Romero earned about $500,000 for his loss against Gervonta “Tank” Davis back in 2022. While Davis was the main attraction for that fight, that's still a respectable payout — but Romero will be earning more now, since he is a reigning champion. 

For that reason, we believe Rolly Romero will be taking $850,000 in Romero vs Cruz prize money this weekend.

Isaac Cruz Purse

Isaac “Pitbull” Cruz will be making a lot of money this weekend — but is he biting off more than he can chew?

The highest profile fight in Cruz's career came in 2021, when he fought (and lost) against Gervonta Davis.

While the fight didn't go his way, Cruz still make a boatload of boxing prize money to face off against Davis. In fact, he reportedly made close to $600,000 for that fight. 

Since suffering that defeat, Cruz has rattled off three straight victories against very game opponents, which has set him up for a chance to win the WBA world super lightweight title this weekend. 

Regardless of whether Cruz can become a champion, he is going to be paid very handsomely in the attempt. 

Our Romero vs Cruz prize money belief is that Isaac Cruz will earn $650,000 in boxing payouts this weekend. 

Boxing Payouts: Big Purses In Store

Regardless of whether it's Rolly Romero or Isaac Cruz who gets their hand raised at Tszyu vs Fundora this weekend, the winner will be in line for a massive fight later this year.
