Khan vs. Peterson 2 In Works?

Amir Khan has been searching for a rumble partner and after an interminable spell it is looking like he's found a partner to dance with, a source tells us.

Khan is hooking up with a familiar face, Lamont Peterson, in a sequel to their 2011 tangle, word is.

The Brit hitter, a marquee name who has been seeking another mega marquee foe, a sort like Floyd Mayweather or Manny Pacquiao, wasn't able to close either of those deals.

Peterson is a B plus guy, and the DC boxer is coming off a disputed loss, to Danny Garcia.

The 29 year old Khan lost to Peterson on a split decision in 2011. That was part of a rough patch for the man; he was stopped by Danny Garcia in his next outing. He is 5-0 in his last sessions since, all against foes not known as bombers. Against Chris Algieri in his last fight he wasn't as sharp as many were expecting.

Peterson had solid moments in his last scrap, versus Garcia. But he boxed too smart early and only pressed the Philly man in the second half. He protested and stated he deserved the W.

I reached out to a Peterson person, and a TV person, to get a confirm or deny, and will alert you when I hear back.

Khan is toiling in camp, in Cali, for some fight against someone…We shall soon hear, I suspect.
