Gaethje vs Holloway Prediction: Baddest Around Battle for the Title

UFC 300 is finally here and there is plenty for any fan to get their teeth into. Three belts are on the line including the BMF belt.

For the first time in its existence the title is being defended and we've got all the information in our Gaethje vs Holloway prediction.

UFC 300 – Gaethje vs Holloway Prediction

The fact that this fight is third on the card should tell you just how brilliant UFC 300 has the potential to be.

There could barely be two more likeable fighters competing for the moniker of Baddest Motherf***er. We'll explain who we think will walk away with the belt in our Justin Gaethje vs Max Holloway Prediction.

Justin Gaethje Preview

There are few nicknames in UFC that are better suited than ‘The Highlight.’ Gaethje doesn't tend to be involved in anything other than exciting fights.

The 35 year old, former interim UFC lightweight champion has won 25 MMA fights in his career and 20 of them have come via knockout. That includes his most recent fight, against Dustin Poirier, which earned him the BMF title.

That impressive record is sure to play into our Justin Gaethje vs Max Holloway Prediction.

The fact his belt is on the line means that it has been competed for twice since the actual heavyweight championship was on the line.

Gaejthe has only lost four times and they have come against Eddie Alvarez, Poirier, Khabib Nurmagomedov and Charles Oliveira – quite the names.

Max Holloway Preview

If very few UFC fighters are as entertaining as Gaethje then Holloway is one of those who can compete. The Hawaiian has certainly ‘Blessed’ the MMA fandom with enough exciting nights.

The former UFC featherweight champion has the most wins in that division, although he won’t be competing in it on Saturday night.

He has previously fought for the lightweight title but he’s got less experience than his opponent at 155 lbs. That experience could be a factor in our Gaethje vs Holloway prediction.

Of his 25 wins, 11 have come from KO, 12 by decision and just two submission. Whilst his seven losses have come from just one submission and six decisions. Three of those loses were inflicted by Alexander Volkanovski and two by Poirier.

Holloway’s striking is certainly a sight to behold, and has the most significant strikes and most strikes in total landed in UFC history.

Justin Gaethje vs Max Holloway Prediction: BMFs to Put on a Show

This fight is one of the closest to call according to the oddsmakers at UFC 300 and that makes a Gaethje vs Holloway prediction pretty difficult.

As the underdog, Holloway is available at +136 on the Moneyline and it’s certainly massively tempting. However, we’re going to go with Gaethje to win and he’s available at -162 on the Moneyline.

It seems most likely that he’ll win by stopping Holloway by knockout, but no one has ever done that before to Blessed. At +150 for Gaethje to win by TKO/KO it’s difficult to go for anything else. Although a decision victory at +300 could be tempting.

We think it’ll be late in the day when the finish comes so Gaethje to win in round 3-4 at +600 feels like good value. Add the fourth round specifically at +1400 and it could be a good night for you.
