Blanchfield vs Fiorot Prediction: Title Chasers in Exciting Fight

It's the latest UFC Fight Night on Saturday, this time from Atlantic City, New Jersey. We might be getting closer to UFC 300 but there is still plenty of action to come.

We've got all the news from the UFC on ESPN 54 main event in our Blanchfield vs Fiorot prediction.

UFC on ESPN 54: Blanchfield vs Fiorot Prediction

This one was supposed to be main evented by Sean Brady vs Vicente Luque but Brady’s injury ruled that out.

Instead the women's flyweight division tops the bill. With the second ranked fighter facing the woman one below her on the list.

Will the rankings prove an indication in our Erin Blanchfield vs Manon Fiorot prediction?

Erin Blanchfield Preview

Blanchfield at just 24 years old has the potential to be a true star in the UFC. She's already ranked 2nd in the flyweight divison and 4th on the women's pound-for-pound list.

And it's no real surprise that ‘Cold Blooded’ is making such an impact on the division.

Her last three fights in particular saw her defeat Molly McCann, who'd been on a three fight winning streak, Jessica Andrade, who'd been on a three fight winning streak and Talia Santos, whose only loss in four was a points decision defeat to flyweight champ Valentina Shevchenko.

Those big wins mean she doesn't shy away from the spotlight and could help our Blanchfield vs Fiorot prediction, as she headlines the show.

Blanchfield has won 12 of her 13 MMA fights so far, with the only loss back on 2019. Six wins have come by decision, four by submission and two by stoppage.

Manon Fiorot Preview

In the opposite corner on Saturday night will be Fiorot. The French star will be wanting a future title shot first and has every chance to ruin the Blanchfield party.

She is just one place below her rival on the rankings, and it's not hard to see why.

‘The Beast’ lost her first ever professional MMA fight but hasn't been on the wrong end of the result since. That's 11-1 overall and 11-0 in the past 11 bouts.

With Blanchfield her 6-0 in UFC is the joint longest winning streak in women's flyweight history.

Her most recent fight was in a win over Rose Namajunas in September last year, by decision. Overall five of her wins have come from that method, along with her sole defeat, with six victories by stoppage.

Erin Blanchfield vs Manon Fiorot Prediction: Blanchfield to Earn a Title Shot

There isn't much between the pair of fighters when it comes to this one. The odds makers certainly don't think so, with one slight favorite.

The Blanchfield vs Fiorot prediction is certainly a difficult one to make. Both women are eyeing a title shot and a loss won’t harm either’s long term future.

The American’s win over Santos could be a pointer to how this one will go, with the Brazilian having a similar skillset to Fiorot.

That’s why we’re backing Blanchfield on the Moneyline at -180 as our first prediction. Fiorot is available at +150 if you fancy it.

Both competitors have the ability to end things early in the Octagon and we don’t think it’ll go the distance. Take the fight to go under 3.5 rounds at +110.

Finally we think Blanchfield’s ability to dominate an opponent on the mat and get in close will mean a submission victory. That works out at +180 on the odds.
