Jim Ross recently shared his honest take on WWE putting their Worlds Collide event against All Elite Wrestling’s All Out pay-per-view.
Both shows take place on the same night in Chicago on September 26. This isn’t the first time WWE has tried to counter-program All Elite Wrestling. Even last month, during All In, WWE ran NXT Heatwave.
It didn’t really matter much, though, because All In still did great numbers and drew around a $6 million gate.
With WWE counter-programming All Out with their Worlds Collide event, legendary commentator Jim Ross has shared his views on this subject.

Jim Ross Shares His Thoughts On WWE Worlds Collide Going Up Against AEW All Out
During a recent episode of the Grilling JR podcast, Jim Ross said that he doesn’t like Worlds Collide going head to head with All Out because he understands WWE’s motivation behind this move.
“I don’t [like this] because I know the motivation. At least in my mind’s eye, I think I know the motivation for them running an event in that city on that day at that time. Which just happens to check all of those boxes to AEW.”
Ross says everyone in wrestling should help each other grow, but a lot of people are just too ignorant to understand why this is a good idea.
“I think everybody should promote growth in our profession. I really do, but it’s never gonna f****** happen because too many people in the wrestling business are too ignorant to see that everybody can help each other. It’s not a matter of who’s going out of business, — If their [WWE] motivation was to entertain the fans, have a big house and put on a great show, then I’m all for it. But that wasn’t the motivation. Too many coincidences. That wasn’t the motivation. And by putting CM Punk on the show, you already guaranteed yourself a big house in Chicago.” (H/T WrestlePurists)

WWE Hasn’t Announced If Worlds Collide Will Air Live
There has been a lot of confusion regarding Worlds Collide as well. The event is only a couple of days away, but so far, WWE hasn’t officially announced if they plan on broadcasting this show live. Some outlets such as Fightful Select and PWInsider have reported that they haven’t heard about any broadcasting plans for the event, whereas others speculate that the show will likely air on YouTube just like other AAA shows.
