This UFC 300 fight card is the best MMA fight card that has ever been assembled.
Not only does the UFC fight card this weekend boast 12 current or former UFC champions competing, but every single fight that's slotted to take place features high stakes between two absolute world class fighters.
There are bona fide warriors who hail from all across the globe, intriguing matchups in many weight classes, and three title fights that are extremely difficult to predict. In other words, every second of this weekend's UFC card will be can't-miss for any MMA fan.
We will be outlining all of the UFC 300 card details, including discussing the matchups you've been waiting months to see. So let's get right into it!
UFC 300 Fight Card: Everything You Need to Know
We're going to start the breakdown of this iconic UFC 300 in reverse. In other words, we're going to start with the UFC 300 main event, then work our way down from there.
UFC 300 Main Event and Co Main Event
Light Heavyweight Title: Alex Pereira (9-2) vs Jamahal Hill (12-1)
Women's Strawweight Title: Weili Zhang (24-3) vs Yan Xioanan (17-3)
Could the UFC have capped off this legendary fight card with a better fight than current light heavyweight champion Alex Pereira taking on former light heavyweight champion Jamahal Hill? It's hard to imagine any potential fight that could be better than this.
And the China vs China battle for the women's 115-pound belt is also extremely intriguing. Weili Zhang is an absolute warrior, but Yan Xiaonan might have what it takes to dethrone her.
UFC 300 Main Card
Here are the other three fights on the UFC 300 main card:
UFC “BMF” Lightweight Title: Justin Gaethje (25-4) vs Max Holloway (25-7)
Lightweight: Charles Oliveira (34-9) vs Arman Tsarukyan (21-3)
Middleweight: Bo Nickal (5-0) vs Cody Brundage (10-5)
Although it isn't at the absolute top of the card, fight fans seem to be the most excited for the “BMF” title fight between Justin Gaethje and Max Holloway. And who can blame them?
These two elite strikers are almost guaranteed to stand and bang against one another for as long as this fight lasts — although that might be long.
But don't sleep on the No. 1 contender fight between former champion Charles Oliveira and rising contender Arman Tarukyan, either. In terms of pure technique, this matchup might be the best across the entire card.
UFC 300 Prelims
Light Heavyweight: Jiri Prochazka (29-4-1) vs Aleksandar Rakic (14-3)
Featherweight: Calvin Kattar (23-7) vs Aljamain Sterling (23-4)
Women's Bantamweight: Holly Holm (15-6) vs Kayla Harrison (16-1)
Featherweight: Sodiq Yusuff (13-3) vs Diego Lopes (23-6)
There's a whole lot to like on these UFC 300 prelims.
For one, there are three former champions competing on this section of the UFC 300 card: Jiri Prochazka, Aljamain Sterling, and Holly Holm. That in itself is remarkable.
We can't wait to see how both Aleksandar Rakic and Calvin Kattar look, after each of them suffered serious knee injuries during their most recent fights in 2022.
Diego Lopes has recently emerged as a fan favorite. And Kayla Harrison is finally making her long-awaited UFC debut.
UFC 3oo Early Prelims
Lightweight: Jalen Turner (14-7) vs Renato Moicano (18-5-1)
Women's Strawweight: Jessica Andrade (25-12) vs Marina Rodriguez (17-3-2)
Lightweight: Bobby Green (31-15-1) vs Jim Miller (37-17)
Bantamweight: Deiveson Figueiredo (22-3-1) vs Cody Garbrandt (14-5)
All four of these UFC 300 early prelims fights are guaranteed to be fan-friendly. But we need to take a moment to reflect upon Jim Miller.
After fighting on the UFC fight card this weekend, Miller will have fought on UFC 100, UFC 200, and UFC 300. How's that for longevity?
UFC Fight Card This Weekend: Matchups to Watch Out For
Figueiredo vs Garbrandt
Despite this fight being the first on UFC 300, this battle between two former UFC champions has the potential to be the night's most exciting bout.
Both Deiveson Figuieredo and Cody Garbrandt have exciting, striking-centric, and extremely fan friendly fighting styles. They each possess one-punch knockout power, as well. There's no way this fight is going to be boring.
Kattar vs Sterling
One storyline that isn't being discussed enough leading up to UFC 300 is that Aljamain Sterling is moving up a weight class, after losing his belt to Sean O'Malley at UFC 292.
We cannot wait to see how Sterling looks as a featherweight. And with an impressive win, Sterling might cement himself as the No. 1 contender to take on new 145-pound champion Ilia Topuria later this year.
Gaethje vs Holloway
We already mentioned it once, but this “BMF” title fight between Justin Gaethje and Max Holloway deserves a second mention.
These guys are already UFC legends, and two of the best when it comes to producing entertaining fights. Add the fact that a title fight is likely in store for the winner of this fight, and this war becomes one that fans are clamoring for.
With such an insanely good UFC 300 fight card, every single fight could have been featured on this list. And that's why you should be sure to miss none of them while watching on Saturday.
