There’s another update on the Penta vs Roman Reigns rematch.
For those who don’t know, Roman Reigns defended the World Heavyweight Championship against Penta on Monday Night Raw in Mexico City. The match took place on the September 14 edition of the show, where Reigns retained.
Initially, Fightful Select said that a rematch between these two stars isn’t expected. But now, things might have changed.

Update On Penta Vs Roman Reigns Rematch
On the latest edition of WrestleVotes Radio on Fightful Select, it was said that many people in WWE creative believe a rematch between Penta and Reigns makes sense.
“Many in creative viewed Penta vs. Roman Reigns as a one-and-done, but that may have changed. Several in creative now believe a rematch makes sense, both from a business & creative standpoint.”

The report doesn’t say that a rematch is definitely going to happen in the future, but it’s still an update. Penta vs Reigns was a success for WWE and Netflix, with the show averaging 3.1 million viewers – the highest after this year’s Raw after WrestleMania.

Roman Reigns Will Defend His Title Against LA Knight Next
For now, Roman Reigns is scheduled to defend his World Heavyweight Championship against LA Knight at Money in the Bank. Knight has been a fan favorite for many years now, so a lot of fans want him to win this match.
After Money in the Bank, WWE could revisit a rematch with Penta if they wanted to. Penta is going to be participating in the Men’s Money in the Bank ladder match. If he wins the briefcase that night, he could decide to cash it in against Reigns.
