What to Know
- Jake Paul and Logan Paul announced their involvement in a brand new combat sports reality TV show, beginning production in 2027.
- The unnamed show shares similarities with “The Ultimate Fighter,” with eliminations settled through fights.
- Applications are now being accepted for aspiring competitors with elite skills in the major combat sports
So what are Logan and Jake Paul up to these days? Let’s check in.
The Paul Brothers announced their roles as executive producers for a brand new unscripted series on Hulu and ESPN titled “Untitled Paul Brothers Fight Competition Series.” Although it doesn’t yet have a name, the Most Valuable Promotions and Wheelhouse Promotions show has a format.
You’re forgiven if it seems modeled on “The Ultimate Fighter,” Dana White’s UFC competition series. Whether the Paul brothers are escalating their efforts to take a bite out of their rival’s business interests after becoming new owners of the PFL is up to you to decide.
As described by Thursday’s announcement, the concept is a reality TV show with rival teams of fighters who live and train together. They will go head-to-head, coached by Logan Paul and Jake Paul. Eliminations are settled by a fight, instead of a vote à la “Survivor” or “Big Brother.”
The fighters choose the matchups. Jake and Logan send the losers of each fight home until one man and one woman are left standing.
High Stakes Survival Spectacle
“This series takes everything we love about competitive combat and turns it into a high-stakes survival spectacle for today’s audiences,” said Jake Paul and Logan Paul in a released statement. “You choose your opponent, fight to stay, and have nowhere to hide. The fighter-first mentality is changing the industry; we can’t wait to see who has what it takes.”
“This project is the latest step forward for MVP as we continue to disrupt sports and entertainment with high-impact, innovative opportunities that define the future of combat sports,” said Nakisa Bidarian, co-founder of Most Valuable Promotions. “We’ve always believed there is a major, untapped market to bring new audiences into combat sports by telling compelling stories around the athletes, and this format takes that idea to another level.”
“Wheelhouse was created for moments like this, bringing a high concept to life with massive stars who create bold new content, unmistakably their own, that connects authentically with their fans,” said Brent Montgomery, Executive Producer and Wheelhouse CEO. “With Disney, MVP and the Paul brothers, we are well equipped to build out singular IP that can live across multiple platforms, and beyond the screen.”
How Will The New Paul Brothers Show work?

The show will feature both male and female athletes competing across multiple martial arts styles, including MMA, boxing, wrestling, jiu-jitsu, karate, and Muay Thai.
Fighters live and train together in an outdoor environment, incorporating physical and survival-style challenges alongside combat sports.
Casting is currently underway. Producers are seeking what they describe as “elite” professional and amateur fighters with a skill set in at least one of the major combat sports disciplines. Applicants must be at least 18 years old, male or female, and priority will be given to athletes described as having “big personalities.” Production is scheduled to begin in 2027.
Competitors will also face social strategy, team skills, and wilderness survival tests along the way.
Applications Now Open
The show has officially opened applications via the dedicated Fight Game Casting Portal. The primary application eligibility rules and required steps are described, and applicants must meet all the basic eligibility requirements.
Think you’ve got what it takes? The portal requires uploading a background history of your professional or amateur combat experience, physical attributes, and a video showcasing your personality and why you can handle a high-stakes reality TV environment.
The final goal of the elimination tournament is to leave exactly one man and one woman standing to win what the producers call “life-changing money.” Your guess is as good as mine when it comes to figuring out what producers might call “life-changing money.” But if you’re in it for the novelty, the glory, or the hell of it, you have nothing to lose.
