Javier Fortuna Headlines On FS1 TONIGHT
Two vets square off tonight, on a PBC card with portions screening on FS1.
Javier Fortuna, from the Dominican Republic, brings a 35-2-1 record to Staples Center in LA, where he will clash against 40-4-1 Antonio Lozada Torres, from Mexico, in a lightweight clash.
Some folks remember Lozado from this bout:
Fortuna's advisor is the estimable Sampson Lewkowicz. He checked in with NYF hours before the fight.
What's his prediction for the clash? “Fortuna by TKO,” Lewkowicz said.
OK, so does that mean Fortuna, ranked No. 2 by the WBC, is dialed in mentally AND physically ahead of the tussle? “One hundred percent,” the advisor asserted.
We will see for ourselves this evening. By the way, the action starts at 7 PM ET on FS1, this is an “early” one for us on the East Coast.
