On Saturday, you can attend a boxing show at Gleason’s Gym, te famed and fabled fight factory in DUMBO.

This is a club show, open to people of all levels and ages, if they have an up to date book, which certifies that they are in good with the amateur prograsm.

Then, on Oct. 25, another sanctioned show will unfold, and this one benefits the Bruce Silverglade Give A Kid A Dream program.

On Oct. 13, Gleason’s will feature a Mexico City v NYC faceoff. “We love the international competitions,” Silverglade told me. He expects Mexican fight fans to come to the gym to see some high level amateur talent in action.

Yes, you figured it out. The gym isn’t just somewhere where people go to grunt and sweat. They have events all the time, and you can do worse than to latch on, get on the train, and immerse yourself into the Gleason’s family.
