UFC Payouts: Who’s Getting Paid What This Weekend?

Sometimes the Fight Night cards are absolutely stacked, like the one last week and the one scheduled for Abu Dhabi in August. This one, however, is not one of those cards, and this means that the UFC Vegas 94 payouts will be smaller than usual. Here is everything we know.

UFC Vegas 94 Payouts: What Will Lemos vs Jandiroba Be Paid In Las Vegas?

One of these two will soon fight for the championship belt. Amanda Lemos is ranked #3 in the division while Virna Jandiroba is now #5. The winner here will potentially face one of the Top 2 contenders next. A win then would mean a title bout against Zhang Weili (if she is still the champion by then).

Amanda Lemos actually faced the champ last year and lost via unanimous decision. Since then, she fought Mackenzie Dern and bounced back with a confident win. But the level of her recent opponents also means that Lemos has been earning a lot of money from the UFC.

We have already talked about her purse for the championship bout. Back at UFC 292, Lemos had her biggest payday, bringing home a total of $182,000 as the contender.

As expected, her next purse was significantly smaller. It appears that the official UFC 298 salaries have already been released and from what we’ve seen, Amanda was paid $80,000 as a guaranteed purse. She also got a $80,000 win bonus and additional sponsorship money, totaling over $200,000.

The positive result against Dern means that Lemos will get a new increase. She is also headlining the event, so we expect Amanda Lemos to get at least $100,000 from the UFC Vegas 94 payouts.

As for Virna Jandiroba, she is still building her career and has not faced the same level of opposition as Amanda. This translates into smaller purses and a potential career-high payday for her on Saturday.

From the limited data regarding her past earnings, we found that she has never earned more than $45,000 as a guaranteed salary. Based on the fact that this will be her debut in a main event, we expect Virna Jandiroba to get at least $60,000 from the UFC on ESPN 60 payouts.

UFC Payouts: What the Rest Card of the Card Can Expect

There are several other veteran fighters on this card with years of experience in the UFC. We discussed them in our early predictions but the fact is that spending a decade in the promotion usually means that you get paid well even if you have mediocre results.

Brad Tavares, for example, has fought 22 fights in the UFC and the early reports suggest that he will earn at least $100,000. This purse makes him at least the 2nd best-paid athlete on this card. His opponent Jun Yong Park is set to get at least $50,000.

Among the rest of the card, we expect only two fighters to make more than $50k. Based on the preliminary data, Choi Seung-woo is set to make 50 grand while his experienced opponent, Steve Garcia, should earn at least $60,000.

Overall, trying to predict the UFC Vegas 94 payouts of the lesser-known fighters is pointless. We will stop here for now and update this list once we have more information.
