Undefeated UFC heavyweight contender Josh Hokit is currently running two wildly different campaigns at the same time.
First, he is heavily targeting the vacant heavyweight throne. Immediately after Tom Aspinall vacated his undisputed title due to medical complications, Hokit publicly demanded a championship fight against interim king Ciryl Gane, arguing that fans deserve a fresh title matchup.
But it was unexpected to see “The Incredible Hok” also pivot into celebrity territory following the Los Angeles Chargers’ season-opening loss to the Arizona Cardinals.

After the Chargers lost their first game 26-14 to the Cardinals, Hokit posted a video on Instagram. He was reacting to a clip of Madison Beer cheering for Justin Herbert and the team. The No. 6-ranked heavyweight called her out by name and made his pitch to the camera.
To make things even more embarrassing, Hokit was lying shirtless in bed the whole time. He even kept making bizarre facial expressions and sticking his tongue out at the camera while recording.
“Hey, Madison Beer,” Hokit said. “Do you want a man who doesn’t lose to the weaka– Cardinals?”

The power couple got engaged in late July after dating for roughly a year, and Madison Beer routinely supports the Chargers star at games while wearing his No. 10 jersey. Unsurprisingly, Josh Hokit’s weird behavior toward Beer infuriated fans because his intentions in the video did not look polite at all.
However, taking creepy shots at fighters’ and athletes’ partners is nothing new for Hokit. He previously faced criticism for taking personal jabs at Michael Chandler’s wife and Ilia Topuria’s ex-partner, even prompting Sean Strickland to publicly state that Hokit had gone way too far.

Hokit, 28, is a former All-American wrestler who played college football before landing practice-squad spots with both the San Francisco 49ers and the Arizona Cardinals. After Arizona cut him in 2022, he shifted fully to MMA. Since then, he has built a perfect 10-0 record and placed himself in the UFC heavyweight top ten. He is now aggressively campaigning to win the vacated heavyweight title.
Josh Hokit Also Mocks Ciryl Gane
While Hokit is busy stirring up celebrity relationship drama online, his ultimate goal remains winning the heavyweight crown. Fresh off his dominant second-round knockout victory against Derrick Lewis at UFC Freedom 250 in June, the California native is campaigning for a shot at the vacated throne.
Calling out No. 1-ranked heavyweight on X, he wrote, “The fans deserve Me vs Gane. I’ll give Ciryl what he has coming. If Alex can win 1 fight in my weight class, I’ll give it to him too, early ‘27. I’ll be the most active champ in the company.”
Hokit also threw a dig at Gane’s historic title loss to Jon Jones at UFC 285, which ended in an opening-round submission in under two and a half minutes. He mocked Gane’s grappling skills, penning, “The first thing the Jackson Wink coaches teach you when you arrive in Albuquerque is how to finish Ciryl Gane in under 2 1/2 mins.”
