Pacheco vs McCalman Prediction: Undefeated Pair With Golden Opportunity

On Saturday night, two undefeated super middleweight contenders meet in the middle of the ring. A potential clash with Canelo Alvarez or another top class star is on the cards.

We’ve got all the information you’ll need to know in our Pacheco vs McCalman prediction.

Pacheco vs McCalman Prediction

The Fontainebleau Las Vegas, Las Vegas, Nevada, hosts its first sporting event, and it promises to be a good one.

It might not be the main event on this one, but it certainly could decide the next title contender. Bigger nights are ahead for whoever wins.

We’ll explain who we think will get their hand raised in victory in our Diego Pacheco vs Shawn McCalman prediction.

Diego Pacheco Preview

At just 23 years old it’s pretty frightening to think how far Pacheco can go. He is already highly ranked in a stacked division and is eyeing a future stint as a world champion.

The American born fighter has a record of 20-0 going into this weekend’s fight. 17 of his fights have been ended early and any Pacheco vs McCalman prediction will have to consider him notching up yet another victory inside the distance.

The orthodox boxer has power in both hands, has finished five of his opponents in the first round, and has an excellent sense of timing.

Back in November, he defeated Marcelo Coceres to win the WBC USA Super middleweight title and earned the eighth spot on the Ring’s ranking list. He’s placed only behind Jamie Mungia on the WBO list, with the number one contender set to take on Canelo next.

Shawn McCalman Preview

In the opposite corner for our Diego Pacheco vs Shawn McCalman prediction is another undefeated American fighter.

Known as ‘The Amazing,’ Saturday night’s underdog has taken part in 15 bouts to date, since turning professional in 2018. He’s won all 15 and seven of them have come by way of knockout. His two most recent fights have both been by decision and taking Pacheco to places he rarely goes might be the best chance of victory.

McCalman doesn’t have the kind of names on his record as his opponent this weekend and he’s not got the ranking either. However, he has the most to gain with a win in Las Vegas and he’ll be determined to overcome the odds.

Diego Pacheco vs Shawn McCalman Prediction: Pacheco Has Bigger Targets in His Crosshairs

Despite this one being between two undefeated fighters, there is little question about who goes into this one as the favorite. That’s why our Pacheco vs McCalman prediction is going towards Diego Pacheco.

He has a size and reach advantage over McCalman and, more importantly, he’s got a skill and power advantage too.

There isn’t much value in taking the Moneyline betting with the underdog at +900. However, our first prediction is for Pacheco to win at -1600.

With his ability to stop people in their tracks, we also think the number two ranked super middleweight will end it inside the distance and Pacheco to win by TKO/KO is our second prediction at -330.

The oddsmakers can’t decide when exactly they think the betting favorite will get the fight finished, and the odds on round spreads are pretty close.

We’ll take the first half of the fight, with Pacheco to win in rounds 1-6 at +160 rounding off our predictions for this one.
