Who’s Next For Terence Crawford?

Terence Crawford is itching for a fight and promoter Lou DiBella says he has a guy who can scratch the itch, and, in fact, is the best available test on pretty short notice to tango with the fighting pride of Nebraska.

“Felix Diaz,” the NY based promoter says, as he waits for the NYSAC to get their act together and figure out insurance coverage for boxing shows in NY while they coincidentally cede the fightstage to MMA in the region, “is the best option!”

DiBella has worked the angle in private and public, Tweeting out this POV:

And why, pray tell, is the 18-1 Diaz the top option for “Bud?”

“Who else is there? Antonio Orozco (rated No 1 by WBC) is not the answer. Last fight, Diaz beat Sammy Vasquez, in front of a network TV audience! He's a gold medalist, who was robbed against Lamont Peterson on network TV. He's ready to fight in December!”

The date is Dec. 10 and needs filling. Ready and willing and seems able…we shall see if the 32 year old lefty Diaz is the one to try and test the WBC and WBO 140 champ.
