The PBC on NBC Plan

By Michael Woods

I read the NY Daily News Sunday and their media reporter Bob Raissman was implying that Al Haymon’s PBC plan was on the ropes.

He noted that a big ole CBS show is planned, March 12, but no NBC prinetime dates have unfolded, as compared to last year, the PBC rollout year.

I checked in with Haymon Boxing media relations man Tim Smith. He said Raissman was welcome to ask him about the schedule, but didn’t.

“Our full schedule is going to be released on Thursday,” Smith told me. “Our first NBC prime show is scheduled for April 16 with five more thru the end of the year on the Peacock Network. So Mr. Raissman is not on target.”

NOTED.

Founder/editor Michael Woods got addicted to boxing in 1990, when Buster Douglas shocked the world with his demolition of the then-impregnable Mike Tyson.
