Veteran heavyweight Devin Vargas, coming off a win over Irish prospect Niall Kennedy in Boston, is prepping to glove up again, in what could be an even sterner test.
The Ohio based boxer, with a 21-5 mark, said he's been contracted to scrap with Junior Fa.
The New Zealand native Fa, promoted by Dibella Entertainment, holds an 18-0 record, with 10 KOs. In his last outing, he snagged a UD over ultra vet Dominick Guinn. Vargas, age 37, is a pup compared to Guinn, age 44.
Vargas can play spoiler, in a big way. Fa is rated as high as No. 7, by the WBO, whose belt is held by Andy Ruiz.
They collide Nov. 15, in Utah.
