Adames vs Gausha Purse: Easy Money for Adames?

Carlos Adames and Terrell Gausha lock horns in a middleweight mayhem at the MGM Grand Garden on June 15. The defending WBC middleweight champion will look to prolong Gausha’s wait for his first world title. How much will Adames and the former US olympian receive for this fight? Let’s find out in our Adames vs Gausha purse breakdown.

Adames vs Gausha Purse: Dominican Dominance or American Dream?

Thirty-year-old Adames, a KO artist with a fearsome 78.26% stoppage ratio, ascended to WBC Middleweight Champion after Jermall Charlo’s recent struggles.

Gausha, the seasoned challenger at 36, boasts a respectable 24-3-1 record, though his knockout rate sits at 50%.

Adames’ path to the top was paved with victory and a single setback. He captured the NABF super-welterweight title with a win over Patrick Day, but a unanimous decision loss to Patrick Teixeira for the WBO Interim title marked his only defeat.

Undeterred, he moved up to middleweight, outpointed Sergiy Derevyanchenko, and secured the WBC Interim title with a third-round KO of Juan Macias. A ninth-round TKO against Julian Williams solidified his reign as champion.

Terrell Gausha’s boxing journey is a tale of resilience.

Representing the USA in the 2012 Olympics, he turned pro that same year. Despite a brief setback in his fourth fight, Gausha bounced back to win a decision. His hunger for a title pushed him towards championship bouts, but a loss to Erislandy Lara, where he bravely rose from a knockdown, and a draw with Austin Trout left him short of the gold.

Gausha’s career continued with a valiant effort against Erickson Lubin and a highlight-reel first-round knockdown of Tim Tszyu, though both fights ended in decision losses. However, he showcased his grit with a dramatic ninth-round KO of Brandon Lynch and a convincing win over KeAndrae Leatherwood.

Gausha’s power and durability are undeniable – he’s never been stopped.

Yet, championship glory has remained elusive. Now, at this crucial stage of his career, this fight presents a golden opportunity to finally reach the boxing pinnacle.

Boxing Fighter Payouts – Adames vs Gausha

Adama vs Gausha will be the opening act for the Gervonta Davis vs Frank Martin main event. In a series of several high profile fights at the MGM, we don’t believe the Adames vs Gausha purse will be the most lucrative.

In his last fight against Julian Williams, Adames reportedly raked in $500k in guaranteed money. He also received 60% of the PPV cut, which brought in additional $800k. Gausha, on the other hand, did not have the opportunity to be involved in many high paying fights. In his last outing, he made a total of $450k as he got the better of KeAndrae Leatherwood.

Taking the available boxing fighter pay information in consideration, we believe Adames will receive the larger share of the Adames vs Gausha payout.

The Dominican fighter is likely to receive a base payment of $500k with a 60% PPV cut.

Gausha, on the other hand, can be expected to settle for $300k in confirmed pay alongside a 40% PPV cut.
