‘Sharpshooter’ enters this contest with an unbeaten record of 25-0-0. Going back a few years to 2021, Sharp earned himself the number one rank in the WBO super featherweight rankings, a position that opened endless doors for his career.
At that point, he decided that he doesn’t want to risk his record by facing any one of the current best in the world and decided to continue fighting weaker opposition. And even after winning all his fights, he still dropped to #3 in the rankings. But it is also a fact that he was inactive for long periods of time and has only fought four times since then.
So, he finally agreed to fight a talented boxer in the face of Ryan Garner. Even with nearly double the fights, Sharp enters this contest as a massive underdog. His fighting style is far from attractive and his last knockout occurred in 2019.
