Mick Conlan rose to 2-0, as the middle finger mauler got the W Friday night in Chicago on a Top Rank show.

The Belfast boxer is managed by ex pro Matt Macklin who gave us his take on the scrap. “He got the win but it was frustrating for Mick cause his opponent did NOT come to fight. It’s difficult to look good when a guy just wants to survive. But a great turn out again, great atmosphere etc. Australia next on next the Pacquiao card!”

And like all of is, Mack will be glued to a screen and eager to see how the welterweight tussle between Kell Brook and Errol Spence plays out in a few hours. “Tough call. Spence looks really good but Brook the more proven. We can’t be sure how good Spence is or isn’t yet. We’ll know after tonight.”
