Bruce Silverglade, the owner-impresario of Gleason’s Gym, clued in NYFights on the latest goings on at the famed and fabled fight club.

The bossman said he’s welcomed an English amateur team to NYC; the lads will be at Gleason’s for a week, after arriving today, Wednesday, Oct. 23.

No competition is set up, they will just be soaking up knowledge.

Then, Nov. 1, on a Friday night you can come for a 7 PM start of a NY Metro Show. “This is the first step to the Olympic Trials,” Silverglade shared. It’s too early to tap prospects who are really A plus grade, he said.

Nov. 21, we will see a charity show, for the Give A Kid A Dream Foundation. “All the competitors are business people, they’ve trained for ten weeks,” he said. Monies raised go to help fund the kids who are in danger of falling in between the cracks, and call the gym (718) 797-2872 to get involved.

Oh, not to forget; Gleason’s has a slam-bang Halloween party, annually. There will be candy galore; from 4-8 PM. on Oct. 31st. Ask Bruce about the time Mike Tyson came to the party…
