Boxing is back at Gleason’s, the famed and fabled fight factory and last remaining melting pot; a Master’s Clinic runs Thursday, Feb. 21st and runs till Feb. 23.

On the night of Feb. 23, you can watch some cagey vets rumbling.

17 folks are slated to appear, from the world over, said gym boss Bruce Silverglade, and masters are 35 and up, for the record.

“Those that want to participate will be a in a sanctioned amateur show that evening. Come on over, take a look at that, particularly if you are in the master’s category or approaching that,” Silverglade said. “I think people will be amazed at how well conditioned these athletes are!”

On Feb. 28, the public is invited to the gym to meet some of the principals fighting on the March 2 pro card at Barclays, topped by an Erislandy Lara vs Brian Castano 154 pound showdown.

The WBA 154 pound crown will be up for grabs when Erislandy Lara fights Brian Castano March 2 at Barclay's Center.

Note: In April, there will be a female clinic, for all ages, April 11-13, and more deets for that will be forthcoming.

You might want to just bookmark GleasonsGym.com, because there are events running there all the time, for the record.

Watch amateur boxing on Saturday, Feb. 9 at Madison Square Garden, as part of the RingMasters Championships.
