We know that talks are occurring between Floyd Mayweather and Manny Pacquiao. They might fight Dec. 1 in Las Vegas, we hear.
We asked longtime Pacman promoter Bob Arum if he’s going to be involved.
“I’m gonna take a pass,” Arum said on the latest TALKBOX podcast. “Listen, I got nothing against Floyd and Manny fighting again, they think it’ll be a good payday, God love ‘em. We really have a different plan at Top Rank. We’re looking to build the future, fighters of the future. Manny and Floyd represent the past, a glorious past, but the past. That’s not what we’re about.”
Manny and Top Rank worked together to a point, on Manny’s last fight, against Lucas Matthysse, but in limited form. Looks like there won’t be any involvement, perhaps, in the sequel of #MayPac.
