It is always a pleasure and honor to travel to NYC to Sirius headquarters and do “At the Fights” hosted by Randy Gordon and Gerry Cooney.

I did so Wednesday and was further blessed by being part of a media roundtable. Steve Farhood of Showtime, boasting a Hall of Fame glow, shared his considerable wisdom and we all needed to keep certain to elevate our game with super cerebral Brin Jonathan Butler in the house.

The author/reporter is fresh off being the impetus for a new “30 For 30” podcast on boxer/inmate James Scott. They and we chopped it up for an hour, talking Mayweather-McGregor, why boxing is on an upswing, and the forthcoming Barclays Center card. Then, for another hour, Gerry and Randy–who by the way have a rock solid producer responsible for more than some of their success, one Josh Friedman— were joined by Mike Coppinger of RING, who is one of the new breed of fightwriters who aren’t afraid to dish opinion in addition to facts.

Then, Nestor Gibbs of Tha Boxing Voice, who seeks and succeeds at being a voice to the regular Joe fan, joined the talk party.

You can hear the results Friday, on Sirius Channel 93….
