What’s Lampley Expect?

He has done his homework, analyzed tape and scrutinized the fighters’ answers and body language in the fighter meeting. So what does Hall of Fame blow by blow man Jim Lampley expect to see tonight in the Andre Ward v. Sullivan Barrera tangle? Could Sully throw a scare into SOG?

“Easiest style for Ward to beat in my opinion is pure puncher, and that is the way Barrera sees himself. Ward is uniquely talented at getting up into a puncher’s chest, taking away his punching room, creating his own unpredictable angles of attack on the inside. This is a style matchup which should visibly remind people why Ward hasn’t lost a fight in so long. Barrera might feel suffocated and confused. As did Edison Miranda, Arthur Abraham, Edwin Rodriguez, and other proud punchers Ward has shut down.”

See for yourself, on HBO this evening.
