BROOKLYN ROCKY GOES JERSEY: Frank Galarza Signs With Main Events

The Ts and Is are being crossed and dotted, as “The Brooklyn Rocky” Frank Galarza will get into a New Jersey state of mind, and sign on with promoter Main Events.

The 154 pounder holds a 17-2-2 mark. He is 0-2 in his last two outings, against Jarrett Hurd in 2015 and then in a tight scrap with Ishe Smith last November. He asked to be released from his deal with Dibella Entertainment after the Smith loss.

“He is a fighter who was moved wrong and think he has great potential,” Main Events matchmaker Jolene Mizzone said. “He wants to fight anyone anytime anywhere. Those are the guys I like.”

“After I got my release I started reaching out, I spoke with advisor AJ Galante and got with manager Adrian Clark,” Galarza said to NYF. “And we came up with a game plan.  I told him I wanted to go with Main Events. They have history in boxing, and I like what they are doing now…so we reached out to them and I met up with Kathy Duva and Jolene and felt really comfortable. They are straight forward, and they’ve known me for who I am in the sport, how I am, that I will fight anyone and they respected I am a fighter and my time isn’t done. I am learning on the job and growing from my past two losses.I’ve learned so much and still have a lot of fight in me and a lot of time to make up for but I am gonna show the world what I am capable of!”

Mizzone finished up with this summation: “I will do my best to get him where he should be!”

And, it goes without saying, it is up to Galarza to take it from there.
