Canelo Chooses May 4 Foe

Canelo Alvarez sifted offers and ideas, and has settled on a foe for a May 4 scrap. It’s a fellow Mexican man, Jaime Munguia, which is something the red-head top dog has said for years he’s not inclined to do.

Things change, and so it’ll be the younger gun Munguia getting the opportunity to change his legacy in massive fashion.

Canelo will fight on PBC PPV

Munguia beat Ryder in better fashion than Canelo did

Canelo has teased other tussles, like Jermall Charlo.

Of course, many fans most want him to try his luck with David Benavidez, a legit 168/175.

Munguia was 154, is growing past 160 toward 175, probably, so it’s not like he’s some shrimpy schmuck.

Canelo Sticks With PBC

The fight is a PBC event, a PPV. The site: nope, not Saudi Arabia, Vegas gets this tango.

Speculation occurred in recent months, with hardcores wondering if Canelo would shift to Matchroom, a previous partner, as their carriage situation changed. PBC said bye to Showtime as their main platform and will see how the temp is in the streaming pool, with Amazon.

The path forward for PBC is getting more clear with this news, skillfully dropped after the Anthony Joshua rubout of Francis Ngannou in Saudi Arabia Friday night.
