WWE Elimination Chamber 2024 Card: Who will go to WrestleMania XL?

For the first time since 2018, WWE will head to Australia for their upcoming Elimination Chamber event. It’s a very important show, which will show six superstars fighting in a steel cage until only one is left standing. The current women’s champion Rhea Ripley is from Perth, Australia, so this event will be a sort of homecoming for her. Let’s check out the WWE Elimination Chamber 2024 card for the event and see our opinion of the matches lined up.

WWE Elimination Chamber 2024 card

The annual WWE event is one of the most popular ones in history for the brand and the chosen date is always between the Royal Rumble and WrestleMania. There will of course be men’s elimination chamber matches and a women’s elimination chamber match. Only two superstars will begin the match and more will be released in timed intervals. The only way to eliminate an opponent is either via pinfall or submission.

The rewards of this match are also big, and the winner of each match will challenge the champions. Let’s see the confirmed WWE Elimination Chamber lineup for the big event.

2024 Elimination Chamber men’s match

The six contenders of the elimination chamber men’s match will be Drew McIntyre, Randy Orton, Bobby Lashley, LA Knight, Kevin Owens, and Logan Paul. There will be qualifiers, but the WWE Elimination Chamber winner will challenge Seth Rollins for the World Heavyweight Championship at WrestleMania 40. The general managers of RAW and SmackDown announced that superstars from both brands will join the match. We already saw the qualifiers that got these six men the spots on the ever-popular chamber match:

  • McIntyre defeated AJ Styles
  • Orton defeated Sami Zayn
  • LA Knight beat Ivar
  • Bobby Lashley beat Bronson Reed
  • Owens took won against Dominik Mysterio
  • Logan Paul won against his former tag team partner The Miz

2024 Elimination Chamber Women’s match

The six women who will be locked in that cage will be Becky Lynch, Bianca Belair, Liv Morgan, Tiffany Stratton, Naomi, and Raquel Rodriguez. The winner will fight the current Women’s World champion at WrestleMania 40. Here is how each woman qualified for the spot:

  • Becky Lynch defeated Shayna Baszler
  • Belair defeated Michin
  • Morgan defeated Zoey Stark
  • Tiffany Stratton beat Zelina Vega
  • Naomi pinned Alba Fyre
  • Rodriguez won a “Last Chance Battle Royal”

Women’s World Championship

The current Women’s champion Rhea Ripley will face the irresistible force Nia Jax for the champion belt in Perth during the event. Only one of them will leave as the Women’s champion that night, and if Rhea loses in her home country, she will be devastated. The match was announced by RAW general manager Adam Pierce, and it will definitely shake things up if Nia Jax is the newest Women’s champion dethroning Ripley this close to WrestleMania 40.

Undisputed tag team championship

The undisputed tag team champions – Judgement Day (Damian Priest and Finn Balor) will have to defend their title that night against British Strong Style (Pete Dunne and Tyler Bate). There was a tag team contenders’ series that took place, and the winners were British Strong Style. DIY managed to get to the finals only to lose to Dunne and Bate. This will be one of the less interesting matches of the evening, but nonetheless, fans of Judgement Day will be at the edge of their seats that night to see how things will go.

Other events scheduled for the 2024 Elimination Chamber night

The popular cage matches and the title matches won’t be the only interesting thing that night. An episode of the Grayson Waller Effect will star both world heavyweight champions Seth Rollin and Cody Rhodes.

At the Wrestle Mania kick-off conference it was hinted that the match between Roman Reigns and Cody Rhodes would not happen due to the Rock declaring that he would face the champion at WrestleMania XL and not many fans were happy about that. In the following episode of RAW, we saw Triple H announce that the planned match between Rhodes and Reigns will happen. Initially, Cody wasn’t going to challenge Roman, but on social media, we saw the tag #WeWantCody trending, and many fans wanted to see him in that title match. He decided to do it for the fans at the end.

This is where the interesting thing happened. Seth Rolling interrupted Cody Rhodes to declare that he will be in his corner and he will not face Reigns and the Bloodline alone at WrestleMania 40. In the following episode of SmackDown, we saw the Rock joining his family member and officially becoming a part of the Bloodline. He vowed to do everything in his power to stop Cody Rhodes’ storyline.
