Pacquiao Starts US Camp Monday

By Michael Woods

Team Pacquiao is just about finished with training in the Phillipines and will quite likely be starting work Monday at Wild Card in LA.

A person with knowledge of Pacman’s plans said that he will fly to CA Sunday and probably get to work Monday with Coach Roach.

Pac fights Tim Bradley April 9, and he has looked fit and in decent form in video snippets which have been circulating.

Manny has told people that for real he will be gunning for a KO, because that would be a superb ad for his run for Senate. Fans have become immune, though, to talk of KOs by the boxer, so it will be seen to be believed if he’s truly going to fight in a more elevatedly aggressive style than we’ve seen by and large in recent years.

That election is May 9. Usually Pac splits camp 50-50 between his homeland and the US, but this time he will do five weeks there and three here. Presumably, this setup is in place to facilitate working on his campaigning duties.

Word is that at Bradley camp, everyone who checks in there says Bradley and trainer Teddy Atlas are meshing beyond well, and that Bradley is in beast mode, looking better than ever.
