Where Does Terence Crawford Rate Himself, Pound For Pound?

on

Proving doubters wrong is a powerful fuel, when smartly utilized. Terence Crawford, it seems, has that down, as he told writers on Monday at MSG that he likes to stay sharp and fresh by fueling himself with hater juice.

“It’s because a lot of people doubt my ability,” he said, in this video. “And when people criticize my ability and criticize who I’ve fought in the past, and really don’t give me no credit, it’s like, ‘OK, is this the guy I’m gonna get some credit off of, or this the guy you want to see me fight?”

Our man Wallace Matthews asked him about that.

Crawford said that like everyone has him pound for pound top five. But why doesn’t he move up more slots after a win, he asked us. And where should you be, I responded? At No. 1, pound for pound?

“No, I’m not number one. Andre Ward,” he said, slotting himself at No. 2.
