Wait, Might Manny Pacquiao Fight Conor McGregor??

Bob Arum was as of early last week thinking that his guy Manny Pacquiao would likely glove up again in November. The Bobfather said that he’d like to craft a rematch between the Fighting Senator and the Slugging (Ex) Schoolteacher, Jeff Horn.

But that unlaid plan is closer to being off the table. According to Pacman advisor Michael Koncz, Manny, who suffered a jaw dropper decision loss to the rumbler Horn in Horn’s homeland of Australia, Manny maybe won’t fight in November.

“We are still trying to work things out but as each day passes it is more difficult to do a November fight,” Koncz told me. We see Aussie reports of Jessie Vargas talking to Horn about a tango. So, has the ship sailed on a Pacman versus Horn rematch in November? “I will be speaking with Manny later today or tomorrow,” Koncz said, so we should all be knowing soon what the near term Pac plans are.

One rumor we’ve heard pinging around—Conor McGregor in his second pro boxing match taking on Pacman. I asked Koncz, true or false?

“Nothing worth mentioning of any concern or importance at this moment,” the advisor said.

Ok, so is Horn still in the running for Manny’s next scrap? Koncz didn’t want to get into that bit of particulars.

Manny turns 39 in December and holds a 59-7-2 mark; he’s said he still adores the thrill of the chase and the buzz of fight night, and the attendant fortune and fame bolstering. So what do you think his next move should be? Talk to us…
